About The Edge

The Edge is an independent London-based production and post production facility specializing in high-end television production of specialist factual programming founded in 1996. 

Rosemary Plum is a partner in The Edge and is responsible for overseeing development, production and delivery of Edge productions as well as overseeing the management of the post production capabilities of The Edge Facilities Ltd.  She began her career as a broadcaster/producer with BBC Radio in 1985 and then joined BBC Television as a researcher/assistant producer in the Education department as part of a team producing groundbreaking television series for language learning.  From there, she became a freelance line producer responsible for a wide range of documentaries on arts, science, history, and archaeology for BBC TV, Channel 4, and Five in the UK and international broadcasters including Thirteen-WNET, National Geographic Channel, Television Food Network and Hallmark Channel.

Martin Johnson is a partner in The Edge and a director with a BAFTA nomination for his editing skills. He has a strong track record as an extremely competent and fast editor who enjoys adding a new dimension to programs through his creative directing. His editing and directing credits include Nigella Bites, the stylish, fast-moving food show featuring food goddess, Nigella Lawson; the Emmy Award-winning The Face: Jesus In Art;Inside The Mafia, the National Geographic Channel’s four-part drama/documentary charting the rise and fall of the Mafia; and the BBC’s Did You Know, a series of documentary shorts featuring the longest, shortest, rarest and most expensive amongst other things!
